Mathlings: Math Quiz Adventure (“Mathlings,” “the app,”
“we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed and published by
TapForge Studios. We care deeply about the privacy of the children and families who use our
app. This Privacy Policy explains how Mathlings handles information. It applies to the
Mathlings Android application (package com.tapforgestudios.mathlingsquiz).
1.Our commitment to families
Mathlings is designed as a safe, ad-free learning space for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. We built it to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families policies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
2.Information we do not collect
We want to be completely clear. Mathlings does not collect, transmit, or sell any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details
- Your location
- Photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data
- Device identifiers or the Android Advertising ID
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or any tracking information
- Any account or login information — there are no accounts in Mathlings
The app does not include third-party advertising networks, analytics tools, or social media SDKs.
3.Information stored on your device
To make the game work, Mathlings saves some information locally on your device only. This includes things like:
- Player profiles you create (for example, a nickname and a chosen avatar)
- Game progress, scores, stars, streaks, and coins
- Pets, avatars, stickers, and badges you have unlocked
- App settings, such as whether sound effects are on or off
This information never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. Any name or nickname a child enters for a profile is stored only on the device so it can be shown inside the app. You can erase all of this information at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.
4.Permissions
Mathlings requests as few permissions as possible:
- Billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING) — used only to offer the optional in-app purchase through Google Play. - Vibration — used for gentle haptic feedback during gameplay. This involves no data.
Mathlings does not request internet access, location, storage, contacts, microphone, or camera permissions, and it does not request the Android Advertising ID.
5.In-app purchases
Mathlings is free to play. It offers an optional, parent-gated in-app purchase that removes the in-app upgrade prompt and unlocks extra features. All purchases are processed securely by Google Play. We never receive, handle, or store your payment card details or billing information. Google’s handling of purchase information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
6.Distribution through Google Play
Mathlings is distributed through the Google Play Store. When you download or use apps from Google Play, Google may collect certain information in accordance with its own privacy policy. That collection is performed by Google, not by Mathlings, and is outside our control. We encourage you to review Google’s Privacy Policy.
7.Children’s privacy (COPPA)
Mathlings is intended for use by children and families. Consistent with COPPA:
- We do not collect personal information from children (or anyone else).
- We do not show behavioral or interest-based advertising.
- In-app purchases are placed behind a parental gate.
Because we collect no personal information, there is no personal information for a parent to review or to request that we delete. Parents remain fully in control of the local data on the device, which can be cleared at any time. If you believe we have inadvertently received any personal information from a child, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
8.Data security and retention
Because Mathlings stores data only on your device and transmits nothing, your information is protected by your device’s own security. We do not retain any user data on servers, because we never receive any. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, permanently removes all locally stored information.
9.Links to other apps and sites
Mathlings may include links to our website (tapforgeapps.com) and to our other apps on the Google Play Store. These destinations operate under their own terms and privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies only to Mathlings.
10.Your privacy rights
Because we do not collect or process any personal information, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or transfer on your behalf. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or other privacy laws. You retain complete control over the app’s locally stored data through your device.
11.Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we ever make material changes — for example, if a future version of the app were to collect information — we will provide clear notice. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
