Privacy Policy

01 Information we and our partners collect

Information you enter in the App. Your calculations, converter inputs, world-clock selections, and settings — including whether you have purchased UnitWand Pro — are stored only on your device. We do not collect or receive this information.

Information collected automatically by third-party services. To support the free, ad-supported version of the App and to process purchases, UnitWand uses services provided by Google. Through these services, the following may be collected automatically:

• Device and advertising identifiers, including your device’s Advertising ID;
• IP address, and an approximate location derived from it;
• Device information such as device model, operating-system version, and language;
• Ad-interaction data, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped.

We do not collect this information ourselves, and we do not have access to your full payment details.

02 Third-party services we use

Google AdMob (advertising). The free version of UnitWand displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners use identifiers and the data described above to serve, measure, and improve ads — including personalized ads where you have consented. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and in “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.”

Google Play Billing (in-app purchases). If you buy UnitWand Pro, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment information; we receive only confirmation of the purchase and its status so we can unlock Pro features.

Google User Messaging Platform (consent). Where required, UnitWand uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent to data processing for ads and to record your choice.

03 How information is used

Information collected through these services is used to provide and maintain the App’s functionality; to display and measure advertising (including, with consent, personalized ads); to process and validate in-app purchases; and to detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

04 Permissions the App requests

• Internet & network state — required to load ads and to process purchases.
• Vibrate — used only for haptic feedback when you tap buttons.

The App does not request access to your GPS location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files. The world clock determines nearby time zones from your device’s own time-zone setting, on the device — it does not collect your physical location.

05 Advertising and your choices

Where you have consented, ads may be personalized using identifiers and inferred interests. You can:

• Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings (on most Android devices: Settings → Google → Ads);
• Change your consent choices through the in-app consent prompt where it is available;
• Purchase UnitWand Pro to remove ads entirely.

06 Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we and Google rely on your consent (and, where applicable, legitimate interests) to process data for advertising. We request this consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform, and you may withdraw or change it at any time. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

07 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Sharing advertising identifiers for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” under California law. You can opt out by declining ad-personalization consent and by limiting ad tracking in your device settings. We do not sell personal information for money.

08 Children’s privacy

UnitWand is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

09 Data retention

Data stored on your device (your settings and purchase status) remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies.

10 Data security

We rely on the security measures of Google’s advertising and payment platforms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11 International data transfers

Google may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards.

12 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
